June is traditionally when the BBC begins releasing more information about the forthcoming series.

Professional dancer line-ups are often confirmed, and fans eagerly await news of any new additions to the cast.

Social media buzz increases significantly as newspapers and entertainment websites publish their celebrity wish lists and insider predictions.

While not all rumours prove true, they certainly add to the fun and anticipation.

Dance schools across the country often notice increased interest in classes during this period. Many people are inspired by the prospect of a new series and decide it’s the perfect time to start learning ballroom, Latin or social dance styles.

This year we learnt who the new presenters are and so far 4 of the celebrities. We also know 15 returning dancers and that the judges are remaining the same.

So over the next few weeks we should learn the names of the other celebrities and learn the five new dancers
