Lewis and Katya
Lewis’s body isolation is brilliant. Rhythm and timing was great. I loved this dance it had a real authentic cha cha feel.
Karen and Carlos
A very fast routine with great synchronisation. Rhythm and timing was amazing. Lots of energy, and a lot of choreography. Wonderful spins loved the jitterbug section very 30’s style.
Alex and Johannes
Great drama and intensity. Loverly rhythm and timing throughout. Could have done with a little more body shaping in places which made it look off balance. Loved the hand/armology and skirt work.
La Voix and Aljaz
The Foxtrot is about gliding and I felt this was missing. It was more like walking and that was due to the footwork as well as the body flight which also affected the timing. La Voix’s shoulders were mostly relaxed but sometimes her frame lifted and head and neck line dropped.
Bevinder and Julian
A fast routine with great synchronisation. Loved all the authentic moves and isolations. Timing and rhythm was spot on. I thought the armology and shapes where great.
George and Alexis
Wow a Viennese on strictly played at full speed, and the rhythm and timing was spot on.
Loved George frame and shaping. Great footwork especially the Freckle, and Contra Check. but in places the leg work in the Natural and Reverse turn made him skip, but mostly it was great and created lovely flight. Great choreography.
Amber and Nikita
Full on LA style Salsa, amazing rhythm and excellent timing.
Great foot positions with fantastic back drops and crossbody leads. Loved the shimmy’s and all the lifts and tricks.
Vicky and Kai
Loved the drama and Choreography. Vicky held her position brilliantly though all the closed and open positions, especially on the Spanish Drag, but also in the walks and links. Lovely footwork and leg placement which was so smooth (no rise or fall).
Harry and Karen
A fast energetic performance with good rhythm and timing. The isolation was great in both shoulders and hips but there was not much bounce. If Harry improves his footwork the bounce would have been better. Example in the Volta he needed to be on the ball of foot on the 1/4 beat with heel lowered at the end of the 3/4 beat.
