Strictly week four

No Stefan and Dianne this week

Amber & Nikita

This routine played to Amber's skillset in every way. The work on and off the benches was incredibly challenging, and  those lifts were great but I would have liked more open floor choreography. She needs to work on softening her knees in the Foxtrot elements.

Chris & Nadiya

What an improvement on last week. Far from perfect but more characterisation and a very committed performance. Some of the rhythm and timing was lost in the middle of the routine, but he got back on track again. Now he needs to work of fluidity.

George & Alexis I like this high energy popping and locking dance.  Well synchronised ( Alexis is amazing). The performance level was high and he showed good confidence, with excellent rhythm and timing.

La,Voix & Aljaz

Absolutely beautiful, pure, lyrical and full of characterisation.  Though the controlled feet, toned frame and solid technique was simply beautiful, I felt La Voix needs to work on the feet as sometimes they appeared flat footed.

Jimmy & Lauren

Jimmy needs to learn to control his weigh from foot to foot, and relax his shoulders. That said his  partnering skills were great.

Balvinder & Julian

Julian didn't help her at all.  His pivots and frame were all over the place.

She was full of class and sophistication tonight. She extend right to the end of her fingertips and had beautiful choreography.

Alex & Johannes

I have written cool, and confident. But the gaping was awful and top line held to high.

The syncopated runs in PP are very challenging to stay connected, especially with a height difference, so why use them? There are lots of other nice figures. Having said that the pivots were great.

Ross & Yowita

It was great fun.

He did have quite a good  body shapes though it was stomping and stilted. He need to work on his arms even puppets have Grace in the arms.

Vicki & Kai

I felt the beginning did not work as a Charleston, it look a little heavy and tired at times and therefore lost that comedic vibe. She needs to work on her confidence.

Ellie & Vito

This was fabulous. Very expressive arms, great stationary Samba walks, great bounce and musicality. Well done Ellie that performance level was great.

Karen & Carlos

Loved the  attack every step, she powered her way through and showed strength in every department, and those spins. Her leg action was good and she did straighten her legs from what I could see.

Harry & Karen

I liked this Salsa choreography though it is very difficult to create any rotation through the back/hips because of his muscles being over developed.  The lifts were amazing.

Lewis & Katya

Katya had to keep up with him.  It was of exceptional technical quality and performance, The storyline throughout was brilliant. The height of his  jete, and the syncopated solo sections was jaw droppingly impressive and fully deserved those marks.

My favourite Lewis & Katya

Time for Ross & Yowita to go home.
