The Power of Posture: How Alignment Transforms Your Dancing

Aug 31
1 min read

Posture at improver level is about alignment, not just standing tall.

Think:

  • Head balanced over spine

  • Shoulders relaxed, not lifted

  • Weight slightly forward over the balls of the feet

Poor posture creates:

  • Weak connection

  • Poor balance

  • Limited movement

Good posture makes everything feel lighter and more controlled.

Practice tip:

Check your posture before every dance—not just at the start of class.
