What is Yoga

Yoga is an ancient system of physical, mental, and spiritual practices that originated in India, aiming to unite the body, mind, and spirit for holistic well-being and inner peace.


The word "yoga" comes from the Sanskrit root meaning "to join" or "unite," reflecting its goal of connecting individual consciousness with a universal one. Practices include physical postures (asanas), breathing exercises (pranayama), and meditation, which are used to foster balance, clarity, strength, and a sense of calm in daily life.
