Do I Need a Partner to Start Ballroom Dancing?

Short answer: no.

Most beginners come on their own, and classes are structured to make that completely normal. Partner rotation is common, which actually helps you learn faster because you adapt to different people, but you can also dance solo if you wish.

If you do come with a partner, that’s great too—but you’re not required to stay together during the class.

So if not having a partner has been holding you back, you can safely let that go.
