Round as the Music Turns

Step quick, we twist, we go,

hop-light, then heel-to-toe,

round in the dancers’ flow

round as the music turns.

Laugh-spin, the skirts take flight,

hands clap in mid delight,

flash of the gold and white

round as the music turns.

Tap-hop, the floorboards ring,

heels snap, the rafters sing,

spring till the bright bells cling

round as the music turns.
